Urbana High School is a public high school in Urbana, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Urbana City Schools district. The 2006 - 07 school year had 645 attending students. It is located at 500 Washington Ave. Urbana, Ohio 43078 () Urbana High School has one feeder school, Urbana Junior High School, also located at 500 Washington Ave. Urbana, Ohio. Kristin Mays is the current high school principal of Urbana High School. The high school was rated as Excellent for the second straight year by the Ohio Department of Education. ==Building History== The original building was constructed in the early 19th century. However, this building was burnt down in an unexplained accident on December 12, 1896. The city was given money for a new building through a grant from the state. The new building was then constructed on the same location as the original building. It was designed to resemble a castle. Construction was completed in the fall of 1897. Additions to this original building have been made over the years. The most recent of the permanent additions was completed in the mid 1950s.
